(1) Practise lawlessness

(2) All things that cause stumbling

(3) Evildoers

(4) Unrighteous persons

(1) Practise lawlessness

(Mat7:22)Many shall say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied through *thy* name, and through *thy* name cast out demons, and through *thy* name done many works of power?

(Mat7:23)and then will I avow unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, workers of lawlessness.

[BBE]  (Mat7:23)And then will I say to them, I never had knowledge of you: go from me, you workers of evil.

[DOUAY]  (Mat7:23)And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

[NIV]  (Mat7:23)Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

[ASV]  (Mat7:23)And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

[NLT]  (Mat7:23)But I will reply, 'I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized.* '

[YLT]  (Mat7:23)and then I will acknowledge to them, that -- I never knew you, depart from me ye who are working lawlessness.

[NKJV](Mat7:23)"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

(Mat13:41)The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all offences, and those that practise lawlessness;

(Mat13:42)and they shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

[NIV]  (Mat13:41)The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

[BBE]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man will send out his angels, and they will take out of his kingdom everything which is a cause of error, and all those who do wrong,

[KJV]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

[RSV]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,

[NASB]  (Mat13:41)"The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,

(lawlessness)

[NIV]  (1jo3:4)Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

[DBY]  (1jo3:4)Every one that practises sin practises also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.

[KJV]  (1jo3:4)Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

[BBE]  (1jo3:4)Everyone who is a sinner goes against the law, for sin is going against the law.

[NLT]  (1jo3:4)Those who sin are opposed to the law of God, for all sin opposes the law of God.

[DOUAY]  (1jo3:4)Whosoever committeth sin committeth also iniquity. And sin is iniquity.

(2) all things that cause stumbling: everything that causes sin

(Mat13:36)Then, having dismissed the crowds, he went into the house; and his disciples came to him, saying, Expound to us the parable of the darnel of the field.

(Mat13:37)But he answering said, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man,

(Mat13:38)and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom, but the darnel are the sons of the evil [one];

(Mat13:39)and the enemy who has sowed it is the devil; and the harvest is [the] completion of [the] age, and the harvestmen are angels.

(Mat13:40)As then the darnel is gathered and is burned in the fire, thus it shall be in the completion of the age.

(Mat13:41)The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all offences, and those that practise lawlessness;

(Mat13:42)and they shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.

[KJV]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

[NIV]  (Mat13:41)The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil.

[RSV]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,

[BBE]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man will send out his angels, and they will take out of his kingdom everything which is a cause of error, and all those who do wrong,

[ASV]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity,

[YLT]  (Mat13:41)the Son of Man shall send forth his messengers, and they shall gather up out of his kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing the unlawlessness,

[DOUAY]  (Mat13:41)The Son of man shall send his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all scandals, and them that work iniquity.

(Mat16:21)From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples that he must go away to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised.

(Mat16:22)And Peter taking him to [him] began to rebuke him, saying, [God] be favourable to thee, Lord; this shall in no wise be unto thee.

(Mat16:23)But turning round, he said to Peter, Get away behind me, Satan; thou art an offence to me, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.

(Mat16:24)Then Jesus said to his disciples, If any one desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

(Mat16:25)For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it.

(Mat18:6)But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones who believe in me, it were profitable for him that a great millstone had been hanged upon his neck and he be sunk in the depths of the sea.

(Mat18:7)Woe to the world because of offences! For it must needs be that offences come; yet woe to that man by whom the offence comes!

(3) Evildoers

(Luk13:22)And he went through one city and village after another, teaching, and journeying to Jerusalem.

(Luk13:23)And one said to him, Sir, [are] such as are to be saved few in number? But he said unto them,

(Luk13:24)Strive with earnestness to enter in through the narrow door, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter in and will not be able.

(Luk13:25)From the time that the master of the house shall have risen up and shall have shut the door, and ye shall begin to stand without and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, open to us; and he answering shall say to you, I know you not whence ye are:

(Luk13:26)then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten in thy presence and drunk, and thou hast taught in our streets;

(Luk13:27)and he shall say, I tell you, I do not know you whence ye are; depart from me, all [ye] workers of iniquity.

[NIV]  (Luk13:27)"But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'

[NLT]  (Luk13:27)And he will reply, 'I tell you, I don't know you. Go away, all you who do evil.'

[YLT]  (Luk13:27)and he shall say, I say to you, I have not known you whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of the unrighteousness.

[BBE]  (Luk13:27)But he will say, Truly, I have no knowledge of you or where you come from; go away from me, you workers of evil.

(The wicked)

(Eze33:13)When I say to the righteous that he shall certainly live, and he trusteth to his righteousness and doeth what is wrong, none of his righteous acts shall be remembered; but in his unrighteousness which he hath done, in it shall he die.

(Eze33:14)And when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt certainly die, and he turneth from his sin, and doeth judgment and justice;

(Eze33:15)if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, doing nothing that is wrong; he shall certainly live, he shall not die.

(Eze33:16)None of his sins which he hath committed shall be remembered against him: he hath done judgment and justice; he shall certainly live.

(Psa119:53)Burning indignation hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked who forsake thy law.

(Pro28:4)They that forsake the law praise the wicked; but such as keep the law contend with them.

(Eze18:24)And when the righteous turneth from his righteousness and practiseth what is wrong, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous acts which he hath done shall be remembered: in his unfaithfulness which he hath wrought, and in his sin which he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

(Eze18:25)And ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear then, house of Israel. Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

(Eze18:26)When the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and practiseth what is wrong, and dieth for it; in his wrong that he hath done shall he die.

(Eze18:27)And when the wicked turneth from his wickedness which he hath committed, and doeth judgment and justice, he shall keep his soul alive.

(2ch33:8)neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land that I have appointed to your fathers; if they will only take heed to do all that I commanded them through Moses, according to all the law and the statutes and the ordinances.

(2ch33:9)And Manasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, to do more evil than the nations that Jehovah had destroyed from before the children of Israel.

(Neh1:6)Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, to hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, confessing the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned.

(Neh1:7)We have acted very perversely against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances that thou commandedst thy servant Moses.

(Neh13:6)And during all that [time] I was not at Jerusalem; for in the two-and-thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon I came to the king; and after some time I obtained leave of the king.

(Neh13:7)And I came to Jerusalem, and observed the evil that Eliashib had done for Tobijah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

(Neh13:8)And it grieved me much, and I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobijah out of the chamber.

(Neh13:9)And I commanded, and they purified the chambers; and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, the oblation and the frankincense.

(Neh13:10)And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given, and that the Levites and the singers that did the work had fled every one to his field.

(Neh13:11)Then I contended with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together and set them in their place.

(Neh13:12)And all Judah brought the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil into the storehouses.

(Neh13:13)And I made storekeepers over the storehouses: Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah; and subordinate to them, Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah; for they were esteemed faithful, and their office was to distribute to their brethren.

(Neh13:14)Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds which I have done for the house of my God, and for the charges thereof!

(Neh13:15)In those days I saw in Judah some treading winepresses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading them on asses; as also wine, grapes and figs, and all manner of burdens; and they brought them into Jerusalem on the sabbath day; and I protested in the day on which they sold the victuals.

(Neh13:16)Men of Tyre also dwelt therein, who brought fish and all manner of ware, and sold it on the sabbath to the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

(Neh13:17)And I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them, What evil thing is this which ye do, profaning the sabbath day?

(Neh13:18)Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us and upon this city? And ye will bring more wrath against Israel by profaning the sabbath.

(4) Unrighteous persons

(1co6:9)Do ye not know that unrighteous [persons] shall not inherit [the] kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men,

(1co6:10)nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor abusive persons, nor [the] rapacious, shall inherit [the] kingdom of God.

(Unrighteousness)

(1jo5:16)If any one see his brother sinning a sin not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life, for those that do not sin unto death. There is a sin to death: I do not say of that that he should make a request.

(1jo5:17)Every unrighteousness is sin; and there is a sin not to death.

(1jo5:18)We know that every one begotten of God does not sin, but he that has been begotten of God keeps himself, and the wicked [one] does not touch him.

(1jo5:19)We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the wicked [one].

(2ki17:7)And so it was, because the children of Israel had sinned against Jehovah their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods;

(2ki17:8)and they walked in the statutes of the nations that Jehovah had dispossessed from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.

(2ki17:9)And the children of Israel did secretly against Jehovah their God things that were not right; and they built them high places in all their cities, from the watchmen's tower to the fortified city.

(2ki17:10)And they set them up columns and Asherahs on every high hill and under every green tree;

(2ki17:11)and there they burned incense on all the high places, as did the nations that Jehovah had carried away from before them, and they wrought wicked things to provoke Jehovah to anger;

(2ki17:12)and they served idols, as to which Jehovah had said to them, Ye shall not do this thing.

(2ki17:13)And Jehovah testified against Israel and against Judah, by all the prophets, all the seers, saying, Turn from your evil ways, and keep my commandments, my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through my servants the prophets.

(2ki17:14)But they would not hear, and hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, who did not believe in Jehovah their God.

(2ki17:15)And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant which he had made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he had testified unto them; and they followed vanity and became vain, and [went] after the nations that were round about them, concerning whom Jehovah had charged them that they should not do like them.

(2ki17:16)And they forsook all the commandments of Jehovah their God, and made them molten images, two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshipped all the host of the heavens, and served Baal;

(2ki17:17)and they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.

(2ki17:18)Therefore Jehovah was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there remained but the tribe of Judah only.

(Righteousness)

(2sa22:21)Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

(2sa22:22)For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

(2sa22:23)For all his ordinances were before me, And his statutes, I did not depart from them,

(2sa22:24)And I was upright before him, And kept myself from mine iniquity.

(2sa22:25)And Jehovah hath recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to my cleanness in his sight.
