Doing righteousness is making efforts to live correctly with will of God.

The concrete deeds are making efforts to practice the contents in bible God said what man have to do or not.

Because man needs the wisdom to discern good and evil that God gave Solomon to make efforts more correctly, man must receive the aid of Holy Spirit.

<'Do righteousness' of a condition God give the Holy Spirit>

(Act10:34)And Peter opening his mouth said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons,

(Act10:35)but in every nation he that fears him and <works righteousness> is acceptable to him.

(Act10:44)While Peter was yet speaking these words the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were hearing the word.

(Act10:45)And the faithful of the circumcision were astonished, as many as came with Peter, that upon the nations also the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out:

(Act11:15)And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them even as upon us also at the beginning.

1 The righteous

(Luk1:6)And they were both just before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

(Eze18:4)Behold, all the souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

(Eze18:5)And <if a man be righteous, and do judgment and justice:

(Eze18:6)-- he hath not eaten upon the mountains, nor lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour's wife, nor come near to a woman in her separation,

(Eze18:7)and hath not oppressed any; he hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath not exercised robbery, hath given his bread to the hungry, and covered the naked with a garment;

(Eze18:8)he hath not given forth upon usury, nor taken increase; he hath withdrawn his hand from unrighteousness, hath executed true judgment between man and man,

(Eze18:9)hath walked in my statutes, and kept mine ordinances, to deal faithfully: he is righteous>, he shall certainly live, saith the Lord Jehovah.

(Eze18:10)And if he have begotten a son that is violent, a shedder of blood, and that doeth only one of any of these [things],

(Eze18:21)And the wicked, <if he turn from all his sins which he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do judgment and justice>, he shall certainly live, he shall not die.

(Eze18:22)None of his transgressions which he hath committed shall be remembered against him; in his righteousness which he hath done shall he live.

(Eze18:23)Have I any pleasure at all in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; is it not in his turning from his way, that he may live?

(Eze18:24)And when the righteous turneth from his righteousness and practiseth what is wrong, [and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous acts which he hath done shall be remembered: <in his unfaithfulness which he hath wrought, and in his sin which he hath sinned>, in them shall he die.

(Mat25:34)Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from [the] world's foundation:

(Mat25:35)for I hungered, and ye gave me to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in;

(Mat25:36)naked, and ye clothed me; I was ill, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.

(Mat25:37)Then shall <the righteous> answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, and nourished thee; or thirsting, and gave thee to drink?

(Mat25:38)and when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in; or naked, and clothed thee?

(Mat25:39)and when saw we thee ill, or in prison, and came to thee?

(Mat25:40)And the King answering shall say to them, Verily, I say to you, Inasmuch as <ye have done it to one of the least of these my brethren>, ye have done it to me.

(Mat25:41)Then shall he say also to those on the left, Go from me, cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

(Mat25:42)for I hungered, and ye gave me not to eat; I thirsted, and ye gave me not to drink;

(Mat25:43)I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye did not clothe me; ill, and in prison, and ye did not visit me.

(Mat25:44)Then shall *they* also answer saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or ill, or in prison, and have not ministered to thee?

(Mat25:45)Then shall he answer them saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye have not done it to one of these least, neither have ye done it to me.

(Mat25:46)And these shall go away into eternal punishment, and <the righteous> into life eternal.

(Mal3:17)And they shall be unto me a peculiar treasure, saith Jehovah of hosts, in the day that I prepare; and I will spare them as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

(Mal3:18)And ye shall return and discern between <the righteous> and the wicked, between <him that serveth God> and him that serveth him not.

(1ki8:32)then hear thou in the heavens, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head; and justifying the righteous, giving him according to his righteousness.

(Pro3:33)The curse of Jehovah is in the house of the wicked; but <he blesseth the habitation of the righteous>.

(Deu11:26)See, I set before you this day <a blessing and a curse>:

(Deu11:27)a blessing, if ye obey the commandments of Jehovah your God, which I command you this day;

(Deu11:28)and a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of Jehovah your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods which ye have not known.

(Deu28:20)Jehovah will send upon thee cursing, confusion, and rebuke, in all the business of thy hand which thou doest, until thou be destroyed and until thou perish quickly, <because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.>

(Deu28:21)Jehovah will make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.

(Deu28:22)Jehovah will smite thee with consumption, and with fever, and with inflammation, and with burning ague, and with drought, and with blight, and with mildew, and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

(Deu30:11)For this commandment which I command thee this day is not too wonderful for thee, neither is it far off.

(Deu30:12)It is not in the heavens, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to the heavens, and bring it to us, that we should hear it and do it?

(Deu30:13)And it is not beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it to us, that we should hear it and do it?

(Deu30:14)For the word is very near to thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

(Deu30:15)<See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil,>

(Deu30:16)<in that I command thee this day to love Jehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his ordinances, that thou mayest live and multiply, and that Jehovah thy God may bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.>

(Deu30:17)But if thy heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and thou shalt bow down to other gods and serve them;

(Deu30:18)I denounce unto you this day that ye shall surely perish; ye shall not prolong your days upon the land whereunto thou passest over the Jordan to possess it.

(Deu30:19)I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you: <life and death have I set before you, blessing and cursing>: choose then life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed,

(Deu30:20)<in loving Jehovah thy God, in hearkening to his voice, and in cleaving to him> -- for this is thy life and the length of thy days -- that thou mayest dwell in the land which Jehovah swore unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

(Pro15:29)Jehovah is far from the wicked; but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

(Pro11:5)The righteousness of the perfect maketh plain his way; but the wicked falleth by his own wickedness.

(Neh1:6)Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, to hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee at this time, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, confessing the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house <have sinned>.

(Neh1:7)<We have acted very perversely against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the ordinances that thou commandedst thy servant Moses>.

(Neh13:16)Men of Tyre also dwelt therein, who brought fish and all manner of ware, and sold it on the sabbath to the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

(Neh13:17)And I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said to them, <What evil thing is this which ye do, profaning the sabbath day?>

(Neh13:18)Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us and upon this city? And ye will bring more wrath against Israel by profaning the sabbath.

(2ch33:8)neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land that I have appointed to your fathers; if they will only take heed to do all that I commanded them through Moses, according to all the law and the statutes and the ordinances.

(2ch33:9)And Manasseh led Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem astray, <to do more evil than the nations that Jehovah had destroyed from before the children of Israel>.

(Psa37:21)The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; but the righteous is gracious and giveth:

(Pro29:7)The righteous taketh knowledge of the cause of the poor; the wicked understandeth not knowledge.

(Rom5:19)For as indeed by the disobedience of the one man the many have been constituted sinners, so also by the obedience of the one the many will be constituted righteous.

1-1 Example of the righteous

(Jesus Christ)

(1pe3:18)for Christ indeed has once suffered for sins, <[the] just> for [the] unjust, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in flesh, but made alive in [the] Spirit,

(1jo3:5)And ye know that *he* has been manifested that he might take away our sins; and <in him sin is not>.

(Jon8:55)And ye know him not; but I know him; and if I said, I know him not, I should be like you, a liar. But I know him, and I keep his word.

(Cornelius)

(Act10:1)But a certain man in Caesarea, -- by name Cornelius, a centurion of the band called Italic,

(Act10:2)pious, and fearing God with all his house, [both] giving much alms to the people, and supplicating God continually,

(Act10:3)-- saw plainly in a vision, about the ninth hour of the day, an angel of God coming unto him, and saying to him, Cornelius.

(Act10:4)But he, having fixed his eyes upon him, and become full of fear, said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Thy prayers and thine alms have gone up for a memorial before God.

(Act10:22)And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, <a righteous man>, and fearing God, and borne witness to by the whole nation of the Jews, has been divinely instructed by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and hear words from thee.

(Noah)

(Gen6:9)This is the history of Noah. <Noah was a just man>, perfect amongst his generations: Noah walked with God.

(Gen7:1)And Jehovah said to Noah, Go into the ark, thou and all thy house; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

(2pe2:5)and spared not [the] old world, but preserved Noe, [the] eighth, a preacher of righteousness, having brought in [the] flood upon [the] world of [the] ungodly;

2 Do righteousness

(Deu6:25)And it shall be our righteousness if we take heed to do all these commandments before Jehovah our God, as he hath commanded us.

(2sa22:21)Jehovah hath rewarded me according to <my righteousness>, According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

(2sa22:22)For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

(2sa22:23)For all his ordinances were before me, And his statutes, I did not depart from them,

(2sa22:24)And I was upright before him, And kept myself from mine iniquity.

(2sa22:25)And Jehovah hath recompensed me according to <my righteousness>, According to my cleanness in his sight.

 (Eze33:18)When the righteous turneth from <his righteousness>, and doeth what is wrong, then he shall die therein.

 (Eze33:19)And when the wicked <turneth from his wickedness, and doeth judgment and justice>, he shall live for these things.

(Rom6:16)Know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves bondmen for obedience, ye are bondmen to him whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

(Mat6:33)But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

(Mat5:19)Whosoever then shall do away with one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of the heavens; but whosoever shall practise and teach [them], *he* shall be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.

(Mat5:20)For I say unto you, that unless your righteousness surpass [that] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

(Heb1:9)Thou hast loved <righteousness> and hast hated <lawlessness>; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with oil of gladness above thy companions.

(1jo3:7)Children, let no man lead you astray; <he that practises righteousness> is righteous, even as *he* is righteous.

(1jo3:8)He that practises sin is of the devil; for from [the] beginning the devil sins. To this end the Son of God has been manifested, that he might undo the works of the devil.

(1jo3:9)Whoever has been begotten of God <does not practise sin>, because his seed abides in him, and <he cannot sin>, because he has been begotten of God.

(1jo3:10)In this are manifest <the children of God> and the children of the devil. Whoever does not practise righteousness is not of God, and he who does not love his brother.

(Rom6:17)But thanks [be] to God, that ye were <bondmen of sin>, but have obeyed from the heart the form of teaching into which ye were instructed.

(Rom6:18)Now, having got your freedom from sin, ye have become <bondmen to righteousness>.

(Gen4:7)If thou doest well, will not [thy countenance] look up [with confidence]? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door; and unto thee [shall be] his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

(Rom10:9)that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved.

(Rom10:10)For with [the] heart is believed to righteousness; and with [the] mouth confession made to salvation.

2-1 righteousness and wickedness

(2ki17:7)And so it was, because <the children of Israel had sinned against Jehovah their God>, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods;

(2ki17:8)and <they walked in the statutes of the nations that Jehovah had dispossessed from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.>

(2ki17:9)And the children of Israel <did secretly against Jehovah their God things that were not right>; and they built them high places in all their cities, from the watchmen's tower to the fortified city.

(2ki17:10)And they set them up columns and Asherahs on every high hill and under every green tree;

(2ki17:11)and there they burned incense on all the high places, as did the nations that Jehovah had carried away from before them, and they <wrought wicked things> to provoke Jehovah to anger;

(2ki17:12)and they served idols, as to which <Jehovah had said to them, Ye shall not do this thing>.

(2ki17:13)And Jehovah testified against Israel and against Judah, by all the prophets, all the seers, saying, <Turn from your evil ways, and keep my commandments, my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through my servants the prophets>.

(2ki17:14)But they would not hear, and hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, who did not believe in Jehovah their God.

(2ki17:15)And <they rejected his statutes, and his covenant which he had made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he had testified unto them>; and they followed vanity and became vain, and [went] after the nations that were round about them, concerning whom <Jehovah had charged them that they should not do like them>.

(2ki17:16)And <they forsook all the commandments of Jehovah their God>, and made them molten images, two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshipped all the host of the heavens, and served Baal;

(2ki17:17)and they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves <to do evil in the sight of Jehovah>, to provoke him to anger.

(2ki17:18)Therefore Jehovah was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there remained but the tribe of Judah only.

(1jo5:17)<Every unrighteousness is sin>; and there is a sin not to death.

(Rom2:6)who shall render to each according to his works:

(Rom2:7)to them who, in patient continuance of good works, seek for glory and honour and incorruptibility, life eternal.

(Rom2:8)But <to those that are contentious, and are disobedient to the truth, but obey unrighteousness, [there shall be] wrath and indignation>,

(Rom2:9)tribulation and distress, on every soul of man that <works evil>, both of Jew first, and of Greek;

(Rom2:10)but glory and honour and peace to every one that works good, both to Jew first and to Greek:

(Rom2:11)for there is no acceptance of persons with God.

(1co6:9)Do ye not know that unrighteous [persons] shall not inherit [the] kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men,

(1co6:10)nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor abusive persons, nor [the] rapacious, shall inherit [the] kingdom of God.

(1co6:11)And these things were some of you; but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

2-2 righteousness and lawlessness

[KJV](1jo3:4)Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

[BBE](1jo3:4)Everyone who is a sinner goes against the law, for sin is going against the law.

[NLT](1jo3:4)Those who sin are opposed to the law of God, for all sin opposes the law of God.

[NIV](1jo3:4)Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

[DBY](1jo3:4)Every one that practises sin practises also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.

[DOUAY](1jo3:4)Whosoever committeth sin committeth also iniquity. And sin is iniquity.

(Eze14:12)And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

(Eze14:13)Son of man, when a land <sinneth against me by working unfaithfulness>, and I stretch out my hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off man and beast from it;

(Eze14:14)though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver [but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

(2co6:14)Be not diversely yoked with unbelievers; for what participation [is there] between <righteousness and lawlessness>? or what fellowship of light with darkness?

(Heb1:9)Thou hast loved righteousness and hast hated <lawlessness>; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with oil of gladness above thy companions.

(Psa45:7)Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated <wickedness>; therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy companions.

(Rom6:19)I speak humanly on account of the weakness of your flesh. For even as ye have yielded your members in bondage to uncleanness and to lawlessness <unto lawlessness>, so now yield your members in bondage to righteousness <unto holiness>.

3 Righteous God

(Psa97:2)Clouds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of his throne.

(Psa145:17)Jehovah is righteous in all his ways, and kind in all his works.

(Rom9:14)What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? Far be the thought.

(Job34:10)Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: Far be wickedness from God, and wrong from the Almighty!

(Job34:11)For a man's work will he render to him, and cause every one to find according to [his] way.

(Job34:12)Yea, surely, God acteth not wickedly, and the Almighty perverteth not judgment.

(Zep3:5)The righteous Jehovah is in the midst of her: he doeth no wrong. Every morning doth he bring his judgment to light; it faileth not: but the unrighteous knoweth no shame.

(Jon17:25)Righteous Father, -- and the world has not known thee, but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

(Rom3:25)whom God has set forth a mercy-seat, through faith in his blood, for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness, in respect of the passing by the sins that had taken place before, through the forbearance of God;

(Rom3:26)for [the] shewing forth of his righteousness in the present time, so that he should be just, and justify him that is of [the] faith of Jesus.

(Psa116:5)Gracious is Jehovah and righteous; and our God is merciful.

(Psa119:137)TZADE. Righteous art thou, Jehovah, and upright are thy judgments.

(Psa11:7)For righteous is Jehovah; he loveth righteousness, his countenance doth behold the upright.

(Isa5:16)and Jehovah of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and the holy God hallowed in righteousness.

(Psa7:9)Oh let the wrong of the wicked come to an end, and establish thou the righteous [man]; even thou that triest the hearts and reins, the righteous God.

(2ch12:6)And the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, Jehovah is righteous.

(2ch12:7)And when Jehovah saw that they humbled themselves, the word of Jehovah came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves: I will not destroy them, but I will grant them a little deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
